Privacy Policy

This policy explains the information collected when you use Caldwell County Court Docket, the reasons it may be used, and the limited circumstances in which another party may receive it. By continuing to browse or use the website, you consent to the practices stated on this page.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies the response; Caldwell County Court Docket does not retain or record the terms you submit.

Messages and Contact Submissions

We retain an email you send only so our team can respond and maintain the related correspondence. We do not disclose that message outside our organization unless the law requires us to do so.

Data We Gather Automatically

When a page loads, our servers automatically receive certain technical information about the visit:

  • The date and time of each page view
  • Your device's assigned IP address
  • The referring website, when one is available
  • Your browser type and version
  • The pages viewed and time spent on them
  • Your operating system and kind of device

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files placed on a device. We use them with analytics services to understand site traffic, including popular pages and where visits end. You may block cookies through your browser settings, although doing so can change how parts of the website function.

What We Do With This Data

  • Routing a search request to the appropriate partner service
  • Finding and correcting technical problems
  • Maintaining site availability, function, and performance
  • Understanding which pages are useful and which need improvement
  • Displaying advertisements that may reflect your interests

No Court-Record Data on File

Caldwell County Court Docket neither hosts nor sells a database of dockets or personal case-record details. It provides general directions to records maintained by the Caldwell County District Clerk, the District Court and other local courts, and the statewide re:SearchTX system. Access to Texas judicial records is governed by Rule 12 of the Texas Rules of Judicial Administration and other applicable law; Texas Government Code § 552.0035 distinguishes the judiciary from ordinary Public Information Act coverage. Nothing collected about visitors is compiled into third-party records or consumer reports, and this website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted through one of those tools is subject to that provider's privacy policy, retention rules, and disclosure practices, which we do not control. Read the provider's policy before entering a query.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to Caldwell County District Clerk resources, District Court information, re:SearchTX, the Third Court of Appeals, legal-aid organizations, or outside search services. Once you follow a link, the destination's privacy policy applies. Review it before providing personal information.

Some advertising providers may follow activity across websites to select targeted advertising. Any such tracking occurs through their systems rather than ours.

Who Might See Your Data

Personal information is not sold. It may, however, be received by:

  • Analytics providers that measure traffic and site performance
  • Search partners that process queries submitted through their tools
  • Government agencies or law enforcement acting under a valid legal order
  • Advertising networks that serve ads on the website

How We Protect Your Data

We use standard safeguards for information in our possession. No internet-connected system is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee that a breach will never occur.

Users Under 18

The website is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If we learn that a minor supplied such information, we will delete it promptly.

Your Data Rights

Depending on your residence and applicable Texas privacy or consumer-protection law, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information. You may, at a minimum:

  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Ask to receive a copy of information held about you
  • Opt out of certain forms of data processing
  • Request deletion of your information
